Runes

A text filter to convert ASCII sequences into nice Unicode or emoji. Call it from your favorite editor, or on the command line:

% echo "BEFORE {circle:this is some hollow text.} AFTER" |runes.py
BEFORE ⓉⒽⒾⓈ ⒾⓈ ⓈⓄⓂⒺ ⒽⓄⓁⓁⓄⓌ ⓉⒺⓍⓉ⊙ AFTER
